anthropologist · systems thinker · python for social research
a master's student in anthropology, working where social research meets computational methods — building python pipelines that put quantitative weight behind qualitative, ethnographic questions. there is a thesis; it is in the final, slightly tense stretch before submission.
the day job is data annotation: training and evaluating ai models. it is also where the coding got real — somewhere between scripts that ran once and repositories a stranger could, in principle, read. lately the work has widened: client websites built to outlive their developer, and a workshop of private experiments that surface here when they are ready to be seen.
the work runs on systems thinking, bateson's in particular: meaning lives in relationships and patterns, not in the parts taken alone. a data pipeline, a research question, a social system — to me these are the same kind of object, a set of components whose behaviour is mostly a property of how they are wired.
