Status bar does not move during xsdir.json generation.

Until execution is complete, the status bar looks like this:

Neither the visual bar, nor the "files completed out of total files" ratio changes.

@jlconlin This was a separate issue. My apologies for not opening an issue prior to the PR #2 to go along with said PR.

I am still having this issue ONLY in jupyter notebook where the statusbar remains stationary.
Running python3 listing.py in console generates a working statusbar -- interesting.

I also just found that I don't need ipywidgets when executing listing.py in console - it's only required in jupyter notebook.

Of course!

With all requirements installed (including those added in PR #2), I perform the following steps:

Using Jupyter Notebook:

1. Execute jupyter lab README.md to open the notebook
2. In the notebook I click the link to the prerequisites ipyb file.
3. Check that the requirements exist (in this case, they do)
4. Click the link to the Getting Started ipyb file.
5. Execute the code block.
6. Code begins to execute but the statusbar shows like this and does not change:
   

Using just the console:

1. Execute python3 listing.py
2. The code begins to execute and the status bar shows:

Both seem to generate proper results to examine with the links in Listing.md. Interestingly the command line progress bar shows 8264 total files and the jupyter notebook shows 7842 total files.
